THE FIGHT BETWEEN THE AKAN AND  EWE TRIBE OF GHANA

The rivalry between the EWES and ASHANTIS is purely Political.. there is no ancient story or history that says that there was a war between this 2 tribes . it is our own politicians who  created this rivalry for their own NPP/NDC Political gains.

THE CAUSE :

 The Akans  see Ex-President  Jerry John Rawlings as Hitler of Ghana because he killed Akans during the coup d’état . According to the Ex-President , that was the order of the day everybody suspected to be ‘’power drunk ‘’ was suppose to be killed to prevent another  fresh coup d’état . To correct those mistakes the Ex-President decided to use the JUNE 4^th  as a day to render apology to the affected families.   

NB: he did not kill only akans and Other akan rulers have also killed other  tribe members  and vice-versa

THE EFFECT:

·        This rivalry has extended to homes and offices : thus people treat their own better than others in terms positions, employment and accommodation

·        These Akans  keep Rejecting or disowning children who want-to or are married to Ewes and Vice-Versa

·        The Ewes keep voting for the NDC regardless of who is standing and Vice-Versa

·        The Akans Supports NPP policies whether  good or bad and Vice-Versa

There is too much hatred within us as Ghanaians.This are the reasons why we are where we are today. Nobody questions his  brother/sister  when he/she is going way-ward  provided he is getting  “ noko  fio’’ from him/her.

These political parties would continue to have strong holds but  lets take hatred out of it just like kotoko and hearts.. We can argue and debate but let it end there.
